Welcome to Treehouse Cove. By booking a stay, using our website, or participating in any of our excursions and activities, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
Reservations are made through our online booking system (the Book Your Dates button) or directly with Captain Scott, and are subject to availability. A 25% non refundable deposit is required to secure your reservation, with the balance due 60 days before arrival. Payment plans are available.
Guest-Initiated Cancellations: The 25% deposit is non refundable. If you cancel more than 60 days before your arrival date, any payments beyond the deposit are refunded. Within 60 days of arrival, payments are non refundable, but we will work with you on new dates or a credit toward a future stay, depending on availability.
Alaska's wilderness is subject to rapidly changing weather conditions. All excursions and activities are weather-dependent. The captain, guide, or lodge management reserves the sole right to make go/no-go decisions regarding any activity based on safety considerations, including but not limited to:
If an excursion or the boat transfer to or from Homer is cancelled due to weather or safety, we will make every effort to reschedule or offer an alternative. If weather makes travel with lodge equipment unsafe, we may use alternative transportation such as a commercial water taxi or flight, and any additional cost is the guest's responsibility. No refunds will be issued for weather-related cancellations of individual excursions within an all-inclusive package.
Fishing Licenses: Guests 16 and older who fish need a valid Alaska sport fishing license and any required tags. Kids under 16 do not need a license or tags. We recommend buying them once you arrive, when we know which days the weather gives us for fishing. They can be purchased online through the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, and lodge staff can assist with this process.
Physical Fitness: Guests should be in reasonable physical condition for the activities they choose. Some excursions involve hiking on uneven terrain, boarding boats in varying sea conditions, and extended periods outdoors. Please inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations at the time of booking.
Participation in wilderness activities, including fishing, boating, hiking, kayaking, UTV excursions, and wildlife viewing, involves inherent risks including but not limited to:
By booking with Treehouse Cove, you acknowledge these risks and agree to assume personal responsibility for your safety. A liability waiver must be signed by all guests prior to participation in any excursion.
Treehouse Cove may photograph or video record guests during their stay for use in marketing materials, social media, and the website. By staying at Treehouse Cove, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use such images. If you do not wish to be photographed, please notify lodge staff upon arrival.
Treehouse Cove shall not be liable for any failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to weather that makes travel with lodge equipment unsafe, natural disasters, severe weather events, volcanic activity, government restrictions, pandemics, wildfires, or other acts of God.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Treehouse Cove, its owners, employees, guides, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your stay, use of our services, or participation in any activities. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for your reservation.
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Alaska, United States. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of the State of Alaska.
